Greece The University of Piraeus was founded in 1938. The Department of Digital Systems (http://www.ds.unipi.gr/en ) is the main driver and contributor to making the UPRC one of the fastest growing institutions in Greece in the national and international research arenas. The Department of Digital Systems covers the areas of digital/network services, broadband (wireless and optical) networks, as well as the security of digital systems. The department’s research staff consists of 25 faculty members, 20 postdoctoral researchers and 75 PhD candidates, whose collective expertise covers many key areas in ICT systems and services. In this project, UPRC participates through the collaboration of the Security Systems Laboratory (SSL) and the Telecommunications Systems Laboratory (TSL) of the Department of Digital Systems. The SSL was founded in 2008 as a research and graduate education unit within the Department of Digital Systems. The main objective of SSL is to conduct research, development and educational activities in various areas of systems security. Through such activities, the SSL aims at contributing to the collective excellence of the Department of Digital Systems and the University of Piraeus and paves the way for the realization of a secure and trustworthy digital society. The TSL belongs to the Department of Digital Systems of UPRC. Its main objective is to conduct research, development and educational activities in various areas of Telecommunications Systems. It consists of three Professors with extensive knowledge in wireless communications field and a great amount of published research work in the field. |

Spain Universitat Ramon Llull (URL) is a non-profit making federated private entity and constituted by the Law 12/1991 of the Government of Catalonia. One of the main characteristics of URL is that it is structured under a federative agreement between the university, formal holder and responsible of the centres that form it, and the different entities that assume the management of each centre with their own human and technological resources. Consequently, URL manages the centres that integrate it through institutions that preserve its own juridical personality, heritage and responsibility. More specifically, the project will be performed by the Engineering Department of La Salle Campus Barcelona (La Salle-URL), managed by the legal entity Fundació Privada Universitat i Tecnologia (FUNITEC). The Engineering Department is composed of 70 professors, 20 researchers that teach up to 1000 students yearly who have access to a Job Board Service with more than 4500 job opportunities, which can be used as a ground truth to glimpse and identify unaddressed industry needs. It is connected to La Salle Technova, which incubates technology start-ups, fosters research and stimulates technological innovation through knowledge transfer. |
