INSIGHIO is an innovative start-up established in 2021 by experts with years of professional and R&D experience in ICT, who joined forces towards accelerating new technologies adoption. INSIGHIO’s core business revolves around end-to-end IoT solution implementation, from idea conception, through prototype development and PoC testing, and eventually to scaling to large deployments, leveraging its in-house developed hardware and software IoT tech stack. Ultimately INSIGHIO makes IoT technology accessible while remaining affordable. Currently, INSIGHIO works on security profiling/proofing of end-to-end IoT solutions. Its technological competences include networks/communications, security for IoT, micro-electronics design, specialized firmware and Cloud development, all integrated as end-to-end managed solutions.

The University of Piraeus was founded in 1938. The Department of Digital Systems (http://www.ds.unipi.gr/en ) is the main driver and contributor to making the UPRC one of the fastest growing institutions in Greece in the national and international research arenas. The Department of Digital Systems covers the areas of digital/network services, broadband (wireless and optical) networks, as well as the security of digital systems. The department’s research staff consists of 25 faculty members, 20 postdoctoral researchers and 75 PhD candidates, whose collective expertise covers many key areas in ICT systems and services. In this project, UPRC participates through the collaboration of the Security Systems Laboratory (SSL) and the Telecommunications Systems Laboratory (TSL) of the Department of Digital Systems.

The SSL was founded in 2008 as a research and graduate education unit within the Department of Digital Systems. The main objective of SSL is to conduct research, development and educational activities in various areas of systems security. Through such activities, the SSL aims at contributing to the collective excellence of the Department of Digital Systems and the University of Piraeus and paves the way for the realization of a secure and trustworthy digital society.

The TSL belongs to the Department of Digital Systems of UPRC. Its main objective is to conduct research, development and educational activities in various areas of Telecommunications Systems. It consists of three Professors with extensive knowledge in wireless communications field and a great amount of published research work in the field.

The Cyprus Research and Academic Network (CYNET) is the NREN of Cyprus that was established as an independent non-profit legal entity, by decision of the Council of Ministers, in 2000. CYNET represents Cyprus in the area of European NRENs (National Research and Educational Networks). It is a member of the National Research Educational Networks Policy Committee. CYNET constitutes the consortium of European Research and Educational Networks from 39 European countries. (GEANT). The CYNET-CSIRT team continuously enhances its cybersecurity skills on cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art techniques. It has succeeded in being involved in various security projects and creating joint efforts with other security teams. CYNET-CSIRT succeeded in becoming Full member of FIRST and Trusted Introducer Accredited.

ELES is the combined transmission and distribution system operator of the Republic of Slovenia. ELES endeavours to strategically, responsibly and sustainably plan, construct and maintain Slovenia’s high-voltage transmission network in three voltage levels: 400 kV, 220 kV and a part of 110 kV. ELES is an important and solid backbone of the Slovenian electric power industry and a guardian of the Slovenian electric power system. Its key responsibility is the safe and reliable operation of the electric power system.

Universitat Ramon Llull (URL) is a non-profit making federated private entity and constituted by the Law 12/1991 of the Government of Catalonia. One of the main characteristics of URL is that it is structured under a federative agreement between the university, formal holder and responsible of the centres that form it, and the different entities that assume the management of each centre with their own human and technological resources. Consequently, URL manages the centres that integrate it through institutions that preserve its own juridical personality, heritage and responsibility. More specifically, the project will be performed by the Engineering Department of La Salle Campus Barcelona (La Salle-URL), managed by the legal entity Fundació Privada Universitat i Tecnologia (FUNITEC). The Engineering Department is composed of 70 professors, 20 researchers that teach up to 1000 students yearly who have access to a Job Board Service with more than 4500 job opportunities, which can be used as a ground truth to glimpse and identify unaddressed industry needs. It is connected to La Salle Technova, which incubates technology start-ups, fosters research and stimulates technological innovation through knowledge transfer.
